Echo Chain Saw

I have a Echo CS660-evl which needs some new parts. Is there anyone out there who can supply me with piston rings for this model. (and ideally a new piston)

I may have found a source for new rings although they now say they are waiting for their supplier to send them which may mean no luck.

Please leave a comment or email me at support@eurekafarm.com.au if you think you can help.

I have searched everywhere to no avail.

Hi Dennis, this place in Melbourne sells echo chainsaws and says that it can send any spares to you in 48 hours. It might be worth giving them a try???? http://www.oakleighmowerpower.com.au/spares.asp

thanks Kris, I have tried everywhere and Echo have dicontinued manufacture of certain parts such as rings and pistons. However there is a place in America which says they can get non-oem parts and I have ordered from them. However if that fails then I will go back and try your suggestion. probably would have been cheaper if I had bought a new one from the states. Good chainsaws (ie reputable brands ) can be less than half price including freight when you get them from the states. We are being ripped off here for so many things we buy.

    dear denis,

i called echo direct to see if i could find the parts for your chain saw and as you found, it is no longer made and neither are the parts. i was given a few numbers to to call in the los angeles area . i am still in the process of seeking out the parts as i have met a dead end on the one place i tried.

one of the places suggested , as the echo cannot be replaced , a STILL chainsaw, ms311 as an equivalent ,but there are other choices that are bigger. there are a couple of blades depending on what tasks you are addressing. the ms3ll runs about 510 amd, plus shipping of approximately 20-25 lbs. (don’t ask me to convert that to kilos)

if the parts are found somewhere here in the states, or you decide to buy a new saw and the company you find with the product you want refuses to ship it to you, send it to me and i would be happy to ship it to you.

i have to believe that somewhere in the states there is a depot for obsolete parts for everything unless we sold EVERYTHING TO CHINA!

    all my best,
    emy

most american companies these days won’t ship out of the states. i have run into that, but perhaps shipping machinery is different.
