We have now decided to sell Eureka Farm
Yes I know we seem to be in a quandary. Ann and I have had many discussions as to what we should do next with the main part of Eureka Farm when we sell the 2 blocks of land (see previous posts:https://eurekafarm.com.au/landsale/,https://eurekafarm.com.au/secondlandsale/ that we had previously listed . ( to be handled by L.J. Hooker St. Helens) . It turned out that we felt in the end we were deceiving ourselves trying to stay on. It just goes to show when you love your property and all that it has given you back in return for lots of hard work how difficult it is to let go.
To stay on though with all the infrastructure we have created seemed also silly. We had already made the decision to close the shop and wind down some of our activities. Reconsidering just what this meant made us realise that we would still be busy maintaining the land mowing, fence repairs and building upkeep but now with continual expenses and no financial return. The alternative and one that we have now embraced was to see if someone else would capitalise on the opportunities that have been created. We believe that the next owners could use the set up we have created and make it into something much more.
We still feel that this property is unique. So close to nature, with the beaches and river just a stone throw away. Lots of water to grow what yo want. Already set up with 2 BNB’s and the potential to easily build some more. 20kw of solar power to offset your power bills, 2 commercial kitchens and a cafe with seating capacity for up to 50 people. Dedicated products that have been well received in the community and also Australia wide.
All in all the perfect place for the right couple to enjoy a first rate sea-change.
