Land at Eureka Farm is for sale
Last year (November 2021) I wrote a post indicating that we were selling up and as such were seeking Expressions of interest. Well I have to eat my words and apologise for spreading this rumour.
We have now decided not to sell the lower section of the farm which contains the dam, the cherry orchard and our living quarters and associated buildings. We have had some mind boggling discussions as to what was the best way to wind down our operation.
For some time now our land was tied up as a sealed plan. We didn’t even really understand the implications of what a sealed plan actually meant. In its early history it turned out the major part of the property identified as 2598982 was made up of 3 lots. However none of these lots had road access and therefore was not saleable.
We have now established right of ways of the three lots , 26754/1, 26754/5 and 26754/6. Each or all of the properties can now be sold.
We have listed the 2 of these properties with with L.J. Hooker , St. Helens. The photos and more info will be incorporated into this post in the next few days.
We have 2 properties which will be listed soon.
The following is a description of a 5.4 hectare block with frontage to the Tasman Highway. (26754/1) A video is now available too: https://youtu.be/yUnrAPyZcrc
This block fronts the Tasman Highway . It is approximately east west orientated with ocean views and also Henderson Lagoon which is immediately opposite. Henderson Lagoon is adjacent to Winifred Curtis reserve and thus you can never be built out.
- Potential house sites are already tidy and available. Soil testing for 2 sites has been carried out.
- Porosity of the soil is such that grey water and other effluent can be handled by a septic system.
- Water and power are on the site. The power pole goes halfway up the property.
- The access road is graveled.
- There is a natural pond which could be used .
This is a stunning block with house sites well away from the traffic noise. House site s have been cleared virtually all that is necessary has been done so that building can start. Lots of trees have been left some of which may still restrict the view. We did not want to remove anymore as it depends on where the future owner intends to build.
There is plenty of room for doing your own thing which makes it unique. More photos coming and details of the second property coming soon. Potential buyers might be interested in buying both properties too.
