The other day we had a Wombat visit us. Actually her minder brought the Wombat up to the farm. What a beautiful animal. They are so cute and friendly. Although I am told they can take a nip out of you when they get older if you upset them. In their household the dogs and cats keep well clear of Womby.

John and Wendy often take up the job of looking after animals whose parents have been killed in road accidents. Womby is just one such example. Last year they brought up a baby wallaby.

The animal is well at home and often sleeps with them. But gradually as it gets older it spends more time in the bush and we were told eventually it will leave her minders altogether.
