As Spring arrives almost overnight we are getting very windy days and although there has been some rain the ground is drying out very quickly.

Our most recent project is to get netting on the cherries on the hill paddock as well as on our small blueberry patch down the front driveway. The structure is really quite simplistic with 6 strand cables supporting the bird netting. The problem is that the posts are are 4.8m and have to be placed in holes 0.8m. Quite an exercise lifting and aligning such posts but even more difficult climbing up and putting the cables on top then tensioning them. Putting the netting on will be a real challenge. The netting will be here in another week but not looking forward to putting it up.
