Echo Chain Saw — 4 Comments

    • thanks Kris, I have tried everywhere and Echo have dicontinued manufacture of certain parts such as rings and pistons. However there is a place in America which says they can get non-oem parts and I have ordered from them. However if that fails then I will go back and try your suggestion. probably would have been cheaper if I had bought a new one from the states. Good chainsaws (ie reputable brands ) can be less than half price including freight when you get them from the states. We are being ripped off here for so many things we buy.

  1. dear denis,

i called echo direct to see if i could find the parts for your chain saw and as you found, it is no longer made and neither are the parts. i was given a few numbers to to call in the los angeles area . i am still in the process of seeking out the parts as i have met a dead end on the one place i tried.

one of the places suggested , as the echo cannot be replaced , a STILL chainsaw, ms311 as an equivalent ,but there are other choices that are bigger. there are a couple of blades depending on what tasks you are addressing. the ms3ll runs about 510 amd, plus shipping of approximately 20-25 lbs. (don’t ask me to convert that to kilos)

if the parts are found somewhere here in the states, or you decide to buy a new saw and the company you find with the product you want refuses to ship it to you, send it to me and i would be happy to ship it to you.

i have to believe that somewhere in the states there is a depot for obsolete parts for everything unless we sold EVERYTHING TO CHINA!

    all my best,
    emy

most american companies these days won’t ship out of the states. i have run into that, but perhaps shipping machinery is different.

  2. I would like to buy a ignition coil for my 660 evl.
Have tried everywhere had no luck if anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.
