Our web site is at least 25 years old and was developed in order for customers to get to know us without too much commercialism. You will note that there are a number of Categories in the horizontal layout.  Besides the Welcome to Eureka Farm we have the following:

  • Our beautiful farm – this category highlites the features of our farm and to indicate what a potential purchaser would get if we sold. Of the 2 blocks of land that were for sale one has been sold and the other has a contract for sale which we will know more about in due course.
  • Holiday accommodation- on the farm itself we have 2 options for holiday accommodation. Many of our guest love to see a real farm and at the same time enjoy a East coast holiday near the beach.
  • The Farmer’s blog- all posts can be scene in this category. A limited number of the more recent ones are also listed on the right side panel.  I now intend to remove some of the older ones that are no longer of interest.
  • Farm- here I discuss issues in growing fruits in relation to the weather and the soil we have. More all the time as I learn new lessons on how to ensure that our fruits are the best. By the way everything I write is not necessarily a success story.  Partly this is due to me being a born again farmer and partly due to the conditions we face at Eureka Farm.
  • Local Issues – this is where I get to say my opinion about what happens in Tasmania and sometimes the world at large. On the farm we aim for sustainability but in the word at large we seem bent on destruction.
  • Trekking -I have had many adventures in my life and hopefully many more. In relatively recent years  Ann and I have visited India many times. Some of my subsequent treks in the Himalayas I found exhilarating and wanted to share with you all.
  • Family- the longest story hear is about my growing up in Sutherland N.S.W. Many things that we saw are almost beyond younger people’s understanding today. And for me too it was a great trip down memory lane identifying my early years.
